Why is glazing crucial?
Glazing represents 70% of the surface of your window. It is therefore the element with the greatest impact on:
- Thermal insulation - up to 40% savings on heating
- Acoustic comfort - noise reduction up to 45dB
- Security - anti-intrusion protection
- Property value - improved EPC rating
The key coefficient to remember: Uw (W/m²K) - The lower it is, the better the insulation.

Understanding the Uw Coefficient
Uw (U window) measures the thermal loss of the complete window (glazing + frame). It is expressed in W/m²K.
The lower the Uw, the less heat your window lets through. For cold climates and exposed locations, we recommend a Uw ≤ 1.0 W/m²K.
Good to know: MaPrimeRenov' (French energy grant) requires a Uw ≤ 1.3 to be eligible.
Special Glazing Types
Security Glazing
Laminated security glazing (SP10 or P4A) resists burglary attempts. Two panes are bonded with a PVB film that holds the glass in place even when broken.
- P4A anti-intrusion certification
- Personal protection (no shards)
- Recommended for ground floor and garden access
Solar Control Glazing
Ideal for south-facing facades and conservatories. Reduces solar heat gain in summer while maintaining good light transmission.
- Solar factor g = 0.35 (vs 0.65 standard)
- Reduces summer overheating
- Less need for air conditioning
Self-Cleaning Glazing
Photocatalytic treatment that breaks down organic dirt. Rainwater naturally washes it away.
- Ideal for hard-to-reach windows
- Conservatories and roof glazing
- Reduces maintenance by 90%
Privacy Glazing
Opaque or frosted glazing for bathrooms, WCs, or windows facing neighbours. Lets light through while preserving your privacy.
- Frosted or sandblasted glass
- Patterned or cathedral glass
- Good light transmission

Frequently Asked Questions
For most climates, we recommend triple glazing. The additional cost (~€85/window) is recouped in 3-4 years through heating savings. Moreover, the thermal comfort is incomparable: no more cold wall feeling in winter.
Yes, approximately 50% heavier than double glazing. This is why we use reinforced hardware and adapted profiles. Our windows are designed to support this weight without any issues. Opening remains smooth and durability is not affected.
Argon is an inert gas, more insulating than air. It fills the space between the panes to improve thermal performance by approximately 15%. All our glazing units are argon-filled as standard. Krypton offers better performance but at a higher cost.
Yes! Our triple-glazed windows with Uw ≤ 1.0 are eligible for MaPrimeRenov' (French energy grant). To benefit, installation must be carried out by an RGE-certified installer - which we offer with our installation option (+€150). Grant amount: €40 to €100/window depending on your income.
